Chocolate Cookies with Marshmallow Frosting These tender chocolate rounds topped with marshmallow frosting and garnished with crushed peppermint candies will appeal to young and old alike. COOKIES
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 eggs
6 tablespoons sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
FROSTING
1 to 1 1/3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups marshmallow creme
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
GARNISH
4 oz. crushed peppermint candies or multicolor sprinkles (generous 1/2 cup)
1 Whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in medium bowl.
